Ranchi: Good news for the poor and homeless families. The Ranchi Municipal Corporation has launched the online application process under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0). Eligible beneficiaries can now apply online to avail the benefits of this scheme. The objective of this scheme is to provide housing to families residing in urban areas who do not have a permanent house of their own.
Applicants can apply through the link http://pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024/PmayDefault.aspx or by scanning the provided QR code. For document verification, interested individuals can also contact the Ranchi Municipal Corporation office.
Only the applicant, their spouse (husband/wife), and unmarried children will be included in the scheme. No member of the family should own a permanent house anywhere in the country. The applicant must not have availed benefits of any housing scheme by the central or state government in the last 20 years. The family’s annual income should be ₹3 lakhs or less.
Required documents for the application include a photocopy of the applicant and family members’ Aadhar card, Voter ID, a photocopy of the bank passbook, an income certificate, land ownership certificate (if available), a joint color photograph of the applicant and family, and an Aadhar-linked mobile number. Only online applications will be accepted, and all documents should be valid and up-to-date. The original documents must be shown at the time of verification. Applications may be rejected if false information is provided.
