Ranchi, Jul 20: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that political instability in the state denied the youth jobs for 14 years and it was his government which by announcing the domicile policy opened the doors of employment for the young generation.
Addressing the people after distributing appointment letters among the newly recruited forest guards he said that some people had spread fake rumours that outsiders would get jobs but that propaganda has failed. He said that in the last two and a half years 1 lakh jobs have been provided in which 90 per cent Jharkhandis have been selected. He said that out of 2188 forest guards more than 90 per cent are from Jharkhand which also included 148 women and in future also more vacant posts would be fulfilled.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has rich forest cover and this greenery needed to be passed out to the future generations for which protection of forests was important. He said that the appointment of these 2188 forest guards would now be responsible for protection of forests and they should carry out their responsibility with full dedication.
