Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council has come out with its schedule for conducting the National Talent Search Examination which will now be held on January 16 for the students of class 10th.
For the students of class 10th, the exam will be conducted on January in two sessions. The first session will be from 10 am to 12 pm while in the second session it will be from 2 pm to 4 pm. In the first session paper on mental ability will be held in which there will be 100 questions.
Every question will consist of one mark while in the second half paper two based on the scholastic aptitude test will be held with the paper consisting of 100 questions.
On the other hand, the scholarship test for the class 8th will be held on January 23. It will be a three-hour test in which questions related to mental ability and scholastic aptitude will be asked. Both the papers will have 90 marks
each. For the students who wish to appear in the exam, they can do their registration between November 8 to November 28.
Students who want to appear in the exam will have to make an online application. The principal of the school or the students will be able to register themselves on www.jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
Students who are studying in schools affiliated with the board and are taking regular classes will be able to appear in the exams. The students who will be selected in the NTSE exam will be given Rs 1250 per month for classes 11th and 12th. As far as examination fee is concerned the students in the general category will have to pay Rs 250 while for SC and ST students the fee will be Rs 125.
