NIA takes PLFI supremo Dinesh Gope to Khunti in search of arms & ammunition

Ranchi: A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took PLFI chief Dinesh Gope to Khunti forest to recover the arms and ammunition kept hidden by the organization. However, there is no information of the recovery of arms and ammunition so far but the agency expects a huge recovery. 

Dinesh Gope said that he had hidden the arms and ammunition in Rania but expressed his inability to remember the exact location. Now he is with the NIA team there is every possibility that he will remember the exact location and arms and ammunition will be recovered. Earlier, on the information of Gope, the NIA recovered 1245 bullets of 7.62 mm and 271 bullets of 5.56 mm from Kamdara forest in Gumla, a police official said.

The NIA arrested Dinesh Gope on May 21. There were 102 criminal cases against him. He carries a reward of Rs 30 lakh on him. He is currently in the custody of the NIA. The probe agency had earlier filed a charge sheet against him in a case related to the recovery of demonetized currency of Rs 25.38 lakh.
