NIA Court rejected bail petition of Raja Peter in connection with Ramesh Singh Munda’s Murder Case

Ranchi: Ranchi NIA special court has refused to grant bail to former minister Raja Peter. While giving its verdict on the bail petition of King Peter, the court has rejected his bail application. After hearing all the parties on the bail plea of former minister Raja Peter, the NIA court had reserved its decision. During the hearing, the applicant, while arguing in his defense before the court, said that he was innocent in this entire matter. 

Whereas NIA’s advocate had said in his argument that Raja Peter was involved in this murder. Therefore they should not be granted bail. Former minister and then Tamar MLA Ramesh Singh Munda was invited as the chief guest at a function on 9 July 2008 at SS High School in Bundu. He was addressing the students at the function after honoring them and giving away awards.

At the same time, Naxalites of Kundan Pahan squad came to the school and started firing. In this, Ramesh Singh Munda, his two government bodyguards Shivnath Minj and Khurshid Alam and a student Ramdhan Patar were killed. A case was registered in Bundu police station. The Ramesh Singh Munda murder case was later investigated by the NIA. 

Raja Peter’s name came up during the interrogation of Kundan Pahan after he surrendered.
