Ranchi: Nilamber Gope, a close aide of the jailed banned extremist organization People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) supremo Dinesh Gope, has been arrested. He was arrested from the Rania police station area of the district. The police have recovered a desi katta and 38 rounds of live bullets from him.
Seven cases are registered against Nilambar Gop in different police stations in Khunti. He was absconding for the last several years. Torpa SDPO said the SP had received secret information that Neelambar Gope was roaming in the Rania police station area along with his associates. After this a special team was formed under his leadership and Nilambar Gope was arrested.
Police recovered a country-made katta and cartridges from Nilambar Gope. Later other items were found on his target. After the necessary interrogation, the police sent him to jail.
