Ranchi: A hearing was held in the High Court on Monday on the petition of former DC Chhavi Ranjan of Ranchi. Actually, Chhavi Ranjan has challenged the action of ED in the Court. In which he has also said his arrest was wrong.
After hearing the partial arguments from the applicant, the court has fixed the date of August 17 for the next hearing of the case. Senior Advocate Geeta Luthra, and Advocates Abhishek Singh, and Abhishek Chaudhary argued on behalf of Chhavi Ranjan. High Court Judge Justice Gautam Kumar Chaudhary’s bench heard the petition of suspended IAS Chhavi Ranjan.
Chhavi Ranjan is accused of the purchase and sale of disputed land in different areas of Ranchi, including the land occupied by the army, on the basis of fake documents.
