Ranchi: The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested five people along with 7.5 kilograms of opium from Tupudana.
The team of the Ranchi unit of NCB following a secret tip-off had seized a car from Hulhundu of Ranchi from where a minor girl and four other accused were arrested from whose possession 7.5 kilograms of opium was seized.
The arrested have been identified as Mangal Singh Munda, Anil Purty, Arun Dangi, Devendra Ram and a minor girl.
Detailing further the NCB officials said that the girl is from Chatra district while four others are from Khunti. The arrested said that opium is brought from Khunti to Hazaribagh and from there it is taken to Uttar Pradesh and further smuggled into Punjab-Haryana.
