Ranchi: Nagpuri film “Nasoor” director Rajeev Sinha, actor Vivek Nayak, actress Shivani Gupta and sound designer Manoj Kumar Premi met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Chief Minister’s residential office in Ranchi on Saturday. Rajeev Sinha, producer and director of Nagpuri film and other artists kept their views before the Chief Minister regarding the possibilities and problems related to film production in Jharkhand.
On the occasion, the team of Nagpuri film “Cansoor ” informed the Chief Minister regarding the script of Nagpuri film “Cansoor ” that Nasoor film is a Nagpuri feature film based on Daayan-Bisahi. Even at present, innocent women are tortured in the name of witchcraft in the rural areas of Jharkhand. Sometimes they are even murdered. This problem is still alive like a canker. These types of news are also published in the newspapers every day.
The Nagpuri film Nasoor exposes the above mentioned problem. Cancer film is an awareness and inspirational film for society. The producer and director of the film, Rajeev Sinha told the Chief Minister that the film has been made with very limited resources involving artistes and technicians from Jharkhand only.
After much effort, the film was installed at JD Cinema Hall, Ranchi and ran continuously for 3 weeks. The audience appreciated this film a lot, liked it a lot and also gave their love. He informed the Chief Minister that at present a large number of cinema halls have been closed in other districts of Jharkhand due to which the screening of this film is not possible.
He requested the state government to make such arrangements so that this film could be screened in every village of Jharkhand and the society could be made aware of the practice of witchcraft.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended best wishes to the entire team of Nagpuri film “Nasoor” and assured all possible help from the state government in this regard. Member of Parliament Vijay Hansda was also present on the occasion.
