Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the distribution of Birsa Yojana and Employment Promotion Allowance and Transport Allowance under Chief Minister Sarathi Yojana

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated Birsa Yojana and Employment Promotion Allowance and Transport Allowance distribution program under Chief Minister Sarathi Yojana at Aryabhatta Auditorium in capital Ranchi on Saturday. He said that skill development brings change in life with energy and gives power to work with positive thinking.

The Chief Minister said that the government has started this scheme for the skill development of the rural youth here. He said “At the same time, now you will be able to do a skill development course free of cost in the field as per your wish in the Birsa center being opened in your block itself.” Not only this, you will also get employment incentive allowance and transport allowance, so that you can improve your skills in a better way.

The Chief Minister said that it is our resolve to make Jharkhand a skilled youth. The government is working to improve the skills of literate, illiterate, less educated and highly educated youth. I believe that today being skilled along with education is no less than a master’s degree.

Today, after doing MBBS and B Tech courses, you will get a job, but for a good opportunity, you also have a management degree. The Chief Minister said that time and career should not be wasted unnecessarily, you have to improve yourself in every situation. Proceed on the path of what you have thought, the government will cooperate with you. If you move one step ahead, the government will support you by moving four steps ahead. The need is that you join the schemes of the government and take advantage of them.

The Chief Minister said that no work is small or big. Do not hesitate to work in such a situation. Because, the work by which your home-family and life runs, is like “God”. 

The Chief Minister said that the government is constantly making efforts in this direction so that you get better employment opportunities in your state. The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is a labour-dominated state. Lakhs of labourers here are working in other states. But, even after this, in the last two decades neither any kind of sympathy was seen towards the labourers nor any schemes were made for them.

But, our government is running many schemes for the welfare of the labourers with full sensitivity, whether the labourer is working in the state or in other states or abroad. The government is protecting the interests of all the labourers. The Chief Minister said that today large-scale recruitment is taking place in Jharkhand. Thousands of posts have been filled in many departments. The recruitment process is going on for many posts.

Now an advertisement for 26 thousand teachers has been released. At a time when government recruitment is shrinking across the country, we are hiring youth in a big way. He also said that so far more than 20,000 youths have been provided employment in the private sector also due to the efforts of the government. Our effort is to give work to every hand.

The Chief Minister said that with the changing times, the trend towards self-employment among the educated youth is increasing rapidly. Earlier where they used to work under someone in a company. Today, he has established his business and along with himself, he is also working to provide employment to many youths.

The government has also implemented the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Generation Scheme to promote self-employment. You can increase your business and income by joining these schemes. The Chief Minister told the boys and girls of the state to pay attention to their studies. The government will bear all the expenses of your studies. He said that the expenditure from school education to higher education abroad is being borne by the government.

Not only is this, along with the preparations for competitive examinations, the government also provides financial assistance for medical-engineering and other professional courses. Your poverty should not become a hindrance in your studies, keeping this in mind the government has taken these steps. Encouraging the young men and women selected for skill development at Birsa Center, the Chief Minister said that after getting training from here, you become a youth icon of your field and play the role of a guide, only then other boys and girls will also come forward to do skill development courses.

During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted directly with the young men and women selected for training at the Birsa Center to be opened in one block each of Bokaro, Chatra, Garhwa Sahibganj and West Singhbhum districts.

On this occasion, he symbolically transferred Rs 13 lakh 9 thousand 5 hundred as employment incentive allowance to the bank accounts of 1039 trainees and Rs 11 lakh 87 thousand 840 to 2178 trainees as transport allowance.

Under the Mukhyamantri Sarathi Yojana, a training center for skill development is to be opened at the block level under Birsa Yojana. In the first phase of this scheme, Birsa centers are being opened in eighty blocks. Here youth will be given free skill development training.

Youths taking training will get an employment incentive allowance of one thousand rupees, while for girls, disabled and transsexuals, this amount will be one thousand five hundred rupees per month. Apart from this, the trainees of non-residential training will also get a transport allowance of one thousand rupees per month. In case of no employment within three months after training, employment incentive allowance will also be given for one year.

Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Rajya Sabha MP  Mahua Maji, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary Labour Department Rajesh Sharma, Labour Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Besra, Mission Director of Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society Sunil Kumar, Additional Secretaries of Labour Department Amit Prakash and Pawan Kumar were present.
