‘My first vote for the country’, several programs were held at Paramveer Albert Ekka Memorial College

Gumla: “My first vote for the country” campaign conducted as per the instructions of the Central Government, several programs were conducted on the third day at Paramveer Albert Ekka Memorial College, Chainpur, Gumla to encourage the young voters to vote for the first time.

The Ministry of Education of India had called for running an election-related awareness campaign in all the universities and higher educational institutions of the country from 28 February to 6 March, in the light of which many programs are also being organized in Paramveer Albert Ekka Memorial College.

On the last day of the voter awareness campaign based on the theme “My first vote for the country”, an essay competition and quiz competition was organized in the college in which the college students participated enthusiastically.

In the essay competition, Neha Khalkho stood first, Priyanka Kumari stood second and Aarti Kumari stood third. In the quiz competition, Anurima Minj stood first, Dolly Nagesia stood second and Roshan Kumar stood third.

Besides, students also participated in many online competitions organized in MY GOV portal. For the success of this campaign, a selfie point based on voter awareness created in the college has been created. People were motivated to vote by taking photographs at the selfie point and posting it on social media, which was also a center of attraction. Being a student it is our duty to make people aware to vote. All the professors and students of the college were present on this occasion.
