MP Deepak Prakash’s letter to the Union Petroleum Minister, Demand for setting up a Bio-CNG plant in Jharkhand

Ranchi:  Former Jharkhand BJP state and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash has written a letter to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

Through this letter, he has urged to set up bio-CNG plants in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi and other Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Dumka, Medininagar and Chaibasa.

Deepak Prakash wrote in his letter that CBG is globally recognized as a green fuel.

In the days to come, Bio-CNG can become the future fuel of India.

Which can not only reduce India’s cost of importing natural gas but also help deal with waste in the country.

Shri Prakash emphasized on the need of Bio-CNG plant in Jharkhand in view of the increasing energy requirement of Jharkhand.

He has written that setting up of Bio-CNG plants will reduce the disposal of waste and emission of greenhouse gases as well as a new dimension of employment generation will be established.

It is written in his letter that with the establishment of bio-CNG plants in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Dumka, Medininagar and Chaibasa in Jharkhand, this project will act as an inspiration for other cities.

In his letter, MP Deepak Prakash has mentioned that setting up of Bio-CNG plants will also lead to efforts to remove garbage from vast tracts of land in many cities under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Also, the use of Compressed Biogas (CBG) will prove to be helpful in reducing the dependence on import of crude oil, increasing the income of farmers, sources of income for cattle-rearing villagers and increasing entrepreneurship.

Also, Jharkhand will be helped to increase the contribution of natural gas in its total energy.
