Ranchi: In the presence of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Minister Badal Patralekh, A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the selected agency and Vegfed, Ranchi for the operation of 5000 metric ton capacity cold storage built in Chatra and East Singhbhum districts. MoU was signed with Shri Trupti Rice Mill for Chatra district.
On this occasion, Departmental Secretary Abu Bakar Siddikh, Jaiprakash Verma Deputy Registrar, Office Registrar Cooperation Committees and Prakash Kumar Managing Director, Wage Fed Ranchi and others were present.
It is noteworthy that under the department, cold storage of 5000 metric tons capacity is being constructed in various districts of the state and in the coming time, operation of cold storage will be started in other districts also so that the farmers of the state can store their products for a long time.
By preserving it, we will be able to sell it at a fair price rather than selling it at a throwaway price. It may be noted that cold storage of 5000 metric tons capacity in various districts of the state is to be operated by Vegfed, Ranchi, which is an apex cooperative federation.
