Monsoon will depart from Jharkhand by October 15, weather will remain clear during Durga Puja

Ranchi: The weather has cleared after five days of continuous rain. At present there is no possibility of rain in Jharkhand. 

According to the Meteorological Center based in Ranchi, monsoon will depart from Jharkhand by October 15. However, monsoon is likely to withdraw from most parts of the state in the next 48 hours. After this the weather will remain dry in most parts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain during the withdrawal of monsoon. However, rain will not bother during Durga Puja. With the weather clearing, the minimum temperature has started falling.

A drop of two degrees has been recorded in the minimum temperature in the last three days. The minimum temperature was 25 degrees on Friday, which increased to 23 degrees on Saturday. There was less rainfall in the areas of Garhwa, Palamu and Latehar, due to which the maximum temperature is increasing there. 196.3 mm rainfall occurred in five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, this year there is 164.7 mm less rainfall than normal in Jharkhand. However, 196.3 mm rainfall has been recorded in five days of October. There has been no rain in the state after October 5.

From June 1 till now, 954.6 mm rainfall has been recorded, whereas under normal rainfall, there should have been 1119.3 mm rainfall during this period. Which is still 164.7 mm less.
