There is a possibility of getting relief from the heat during this period.

There will be respite from the heat only when the monsoon arrives in Jharkhand and becomes fully active.

By then, the temperature in many parts of Jharkhand including Ranchi is likely to remain above 40 degrees.

At the same time, till June 15, there will be intermittent clouds in Ranchi and surrounding areas in the afternoon.

Wind and rain can be expected to bring coolness.

On Saturday, due to cloud cover and strong wind in Ranchi and its surroundings in the afternoon, the maximum temperature dropped by 4 degrees.

The maximum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 38.4 degrees, whereas in the last two-three days the mercury in Ranchi had gone up to 42.5 degrees.

At the same time, Daltonganj was the hottest in the state on Saturday.

The maximum temperature there was recorded at 45.4 degrees and the minimum at 30.6 degrees.

There is hope of getting relief from the heat in Ranchi and surrounding areas in the next one week.

During this period, the maximum temperature of Ranchi is likely to be between 38 to 41 degrees and the minimum 27 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky and rain with thunder during this period.
