Ranchi: A large-scale mock drill began around 4 PM on Tuesday in the Doranda locality of Ranchi, with heavy deployment of police, fire services, and ambulances across the area.
As part of the drill, emergency vehicles including police vans, fire tenders, and ambulances were seen speeding through the streets. To ensure public safety, several roads in the vicinity were temporarily closed.
According to the administration, the drill is aimed at testing preparedness for emergency scenarios such as war or terrorist attacks. Authorities are continuously making public announcements to raise awareness among local residents about what steps to take and how to stay safe during such events.
The mock drill involves coordinated efforts by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), local police, the health department, and other emergency response agencies. Participants are practicing evacuation, administering first aid, and transporting the injured to safe locations as part of the simulation.
