Ranchi: Minister Alamgir Alam’s OSD Sanjeev Lal, accused of money laundering through the tender scam, has appealed to the court for bail.
He has filed a bail petition through his advocate in the special court of Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act).
ED had recovered Rs 35.23 crore in cash from the house of Sanjeev Lal’s assistant Jahangir.
Three crore rupees were recovered from the house of builder Munna Singh, close to Sanjeev Lal.
The agency has also arrested Minister Alamgir Alam in the same case.
