Mumbai: Actress Minissha Lamba, known for films such as Corporate, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Bheja Fry 2, has completed five years of following a vegetarian lifestyle, a choice she says has positively transformed her life.
Sharing a photo on Instagram in which she is seen wearing a black top paired with a monotone skirt, Minissha reflected on her journey and revealed that the decision did not begin as a lifelong commitment, but as a simple one-month experiment guided by her conscience.
In a candid post, the actress said she had struggled for years with guilt over eating meat despite having vegetarian options available. Wanting to move away from what she described as a constant inner conflict, she finally decided to act on the voice she had been ignoring for a long time.
Minissha explained that she deliberately avoided thinking of the decision as permanent, choosing instead to extend her goal gradually — from one month to six weeks, then two months, three months and beyond. Reaching the six-month mark, she realised that vegetarianism could become a lifelong practice.
Describing the experience as deeply fulfilling, Minissha said adopting a vegetarian diet has brought her a sense of peace and alignment with her inner self, adding that she wished she had listened to her heart earlier.
Welcoming the New Year 2026, the actress encouraged others to pursue their personal goals without pressure, advising them to take small, achievable steps rather than making overwhelming lifelong commitments.
