Ranchi: Jay Kishore Chaudhary, an accused in the money laundering case related to the MGNREGA scam, surrendered in the special court of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in Ranchi on Monday. After furnishing a bond of one lakh rupees, the court granted him bail.
Chaudhary, who was the Executive Engineer during the MGNREGA scam in Khunti, is accused of being involved in a multi-crore scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had named him as an accused in their prosecution complaint, leading to the anticipation of his arrest.
After receiving bail from the court, Jay Kishore Chaudhary was granted significant relief. His lawyer, Anil Kumar Kanth, argued on his behalf in the court.
