Met Department predicts Jharkhand’s temperature to remain above 40 degrees for next 5 days

Ranchi: Jharkhand will have severe heat waves in the next five days, the Meteorological Department forecasted on Tuesday.

Abhishek Anand, Head of the Metrological Department of Jharkhand said that the temperature will remain close to 40 degrees Celsius for the entire week.

He said the extreme rise in temperature in Daltonganj was 42.9 degree Celsius followed by Deoghar at 42.6 degree Celsius and crossed 41 degrees Celsius in Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahebganj districts of Jharkhand.

Steel City Jamshedpur recorded 41.5 Degree Celsius temperature on Tuesday. Whereas in some other parts of the state like in Garhwa 40.7, East Singhbhum 41.4 degree Celsius.

The HOD Metrological Department added that Till June 10 Heat waves will blow in the state.
