Low voltage stops drinking water supply to Ranchi, citizens suffer

Ranchi: Low Voltage stopped the drinking water supply from Rukka Water treatment in Ranchi as citizens of the city suffer from restlessness.

Five Lakh citizens of Ranchi were not given an adequate drinking water facility for 10 Hours. People were forced to buy drinking water from the Water ATM.

After information given by the Water Resources department to Jharkhand Vidyut Nigam Limited (JVVNL), officials from the electricity Nigam reached Rukka Water Treatment Plant, checked the transformer, and repaired the necessary faults.

The Water Resources department submitted an application to JVVNL for a low voltage problem.

Following areas of Ranchi were affected by Water Supply –

Ratu Road, Aaryapuri, Alakapuri, Morhabadi, Lalpur, Piska More, Radium Road, Deen Dayal Nagar, Madhukam, Kishore Gunj, Anand Nagar, Kailash Nagar, Kumhar Toli, Kokar, Kantatoli, Bariyatu, Keshav Nagar, Pahari Mandir Area, Gari Khana Chowk, Sangram Chowk, Zila School, Main Road, Hindpiri, Upper Bazar and Purani Ranchi locality.

GM JVVNL Prabhat Kumar Shrivastava assured that there would not have any problem regarding low voltage in the Rukka Water Treatment area.
