Ranchi: Leader of opposition Babulal Marandi once again launched a sharp attack on health minister, alleging that children who were given HIV-infected blood are facing severe mental and social harassment.
Marandi said while health minister makes announcements about providing jobs based on hijab or veil, he has failed to pay attention to innocent children struggling for life due to negligence within his own department. He said children who deserve protection, treatment and dignity are instead being subjected to neglect, humiliation and inhuman behaviour.
He further alleged that moral standards of officials have fallen to such an extent that they only follow orders issued by chief minister, while spending rest of their time indulging in corruption and serving personal interests.
Leader of opposition urged Chaibasa deputy commissioner to take cognisance of matter and ensure immediate assistance for affected children.
