Maoist camp busted in Kolhan in West Singhbhum by Security Forces

Ranchi: The hideouts of CPI Maoist at Sarjamburu was destroyed by Jharkhand Police, CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar. This is a huge success for the security forces as the Maoist rebels had laid many land mines, spikes and dangerous wires on the way to reach these areas.

The security forces were continuously trying to reach these areas but the Maoist rebels were increasing the number of land mines and spikes every time. The Jharkhand Police team was successful in reaching this place for the first time on Wednesday.

During the search operation, the police found a bunker prepared by the Maoist ultras. Along with this, many goods have also been seized by the security forces. Police has intensified the search operation in the area. Now the security forces have destroyed their camp. Jharkhand Police along with CRPF have set up a joint Operation.

According to the security forces, Sarjamburu has been the headquarters of the Maoists since 2017-18. Maoist rebels took shelter in the area, but as soon as the security forces were successful in moving toward them, the Maoist kept retreating.

Ultras were forced to retreat and fled from there. Now the security forces are also conducting operations in those areas where Maoist rebels have taken shelter. Three big Maoist rebels of the Central Committee are hiding in the area of Kolhan. These include prize awardee Maoist rebels including Misir Besra, Anal and Aseem Mandal with one crore prize each.

Security forces have been conducting continuous operations in the area since February 11. Successes were achieved and many times the jawans also came under the grip of landmines planted by Rebels. Maoist rebels have planted land mines and IEDs on the way, due to which it was difficult to conduct search operations in these areas and to repel the Maoist rebels.
