Main accused wanted in attack on CM’s convoy case surrenders in court

Ranchi, Bhairav Singh who was the main accused wanted in connection with the attack on the convoy of Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday surrendered in the court.

Bhairav Singh surrendered in the court of justice Abhishek Prasad at the Ranchi civil court after which he was forwarded to 14 days of judicial custody.

In the attack on the convoy of Chief Minister Hemant Soren which had taken place on January 4 at Kishoreganj Chowk an fir has been registered against 72 people out of which 34 have been arrested but Bhairav was evading arrest.

Since morning police personnel had been deployed in the court premises. ASP Kotwali and large number of policemen were present in the court but before police could get a hand on him he surrendered before the court.

Before being shifted to jail he said that he had no intentions to attack the convoy of the Chief Minister but was on the roads to get justice for the sister who was beheaded in Ormanjhi. He said that the criminals were roaming free.
