Ranchi: Maha rally to demand Sarna Code, many tribal organizations to gather on 25th January.

A press conference was held at the Press Club on behalf of the Central Sarna Committee located at 13 RIT Building Court Complex, Ranchi.

In which discussions were held regarding Sarna Code.

Addressing the press, Central President Phoolchand Tirkey said, Sarna Code is a matter related to the identity and existence of nature worshiping tribals.

Tribal people have been struggling for their identity for years.

Phoolchand Tirkey said that on November 15, the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi had come to Ulihatu, the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda, and paid tribute to Dharti Aaba.

At that time the tribals were hoping that the Prime Minister would say something about the Sarna Code.

But PM Sarna did not say anything on the code.

Even Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not raise the issue of Sarna Code on the stage.

Nor did Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda say anything about the Sarna Code.

Due to which 15 crore tribals of India are feeling cheated.

Said that now the tribals have understood that the Sarna Code will be achieved only through movement.

Phoolchand said that the Central Sarna Committee has decided that a grand rally will be organized on 25 January 2024.

In which an awareness campaign will be run regarding Sarna Code.

He further said, whoever talks about Sarna Code will rule the country.

On this occasion, General Secretary Sanjay Tirkey, Gumla, District Sarna Committee President Indu Bhagat, Lohardaga District Sarna Committee President Chaitu Oraon, Secretary Yashpal Bhagat, All India Tribal Development Council’s Bana Munda, Vinay Oraon, Pramod Ekka, Women’s Wing President Neera. Toppo, Nagia Toppo, Mira Korai, were present.
