Lok Sabha Elections concluded with voting on three Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand, Highest voting 69.89 % in Dumka

Ranchi:  In the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting ended in three Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand, Godda, Dumka and Rajmahal.

The highest turnout was in Dumka at 69.89 % and the lowest in Raj Mahal at 66.98 %.

Apart from this, 67.24 percent voting took place in Godda.

At the same time, due to EVM malfunction at Dharampur booth number 141 of Dumka, the voting process started after an hour.

BJP candidate from Godda Nishikant Dubey voted with his wife Anukant Dubey and son at booth number 155-156 located at Deoghar B.Ed College.

After voting, he said that victory is certain and the Modi government will be formed again at the Centre.

At the same time, current MP from Rajmahal, Vijay Hasda also voted in his native village and appealed to the people to vote.

More than 53 lakh voters will decide the fate of 52 candidates in the voting.

Tight security arrangements have been made for fair and fear-free voting.

Bike riding quick response teams have been deployed to deal with any untoward incident.

The total number of booths in the three parliamentary constituencies Godda, Rajmahal and Dumka is 6258.

Of these, 489 booths are in urban areas and 5769 booths are in rural areas.

The command of 241 booths were in the hands of women.

The 18 booths were unique.

There were a total of 2020 polling stations in this parliamentary constituency.

Of these, 127 booths are in urban areas and 1893 booths are in rural areas.

166 polling stations in this constituency are completely operated by women.

Similarly, 3 booths operated by the disabled and 6 booths were operated by the youth.

The 5 booths here are in a unique category.

BJP has fielded former state president Tala Marandi.

In front of him is the JMM MP Vijay Kumar Hansda.

JMM’s rebel MLA Lobin Hembram is contesting here as an independent candidate.

Along with these, a total of 14 candidates are in the fray for Rajmahal Lok Sabha seat.

A total of 15,91,061 voters took part in the voting in Dumka (reserved for Scheduled Tribe) parliamentary constituency.

Of these, 7,99,045 are male, 7,92,010 female and 6 third gender voters.

There are a total of 1891 polling stations in this parliamentary constituency.

Of these, 105 booths are in urban areas and 1786 booths are in rural areas.

70 polling stations in this constituency were completely operated by women.

Similarly, 1 booth was operated by the disabled and 3 booths were operated by the youth.

11 booths here are in a unique category.

BJP has declared Sita Soren, elder daughter-in-law of Shibu Soren, as its candidate from Dumka Lok Sabha.

She has been challenged by JMM MLA Nalin Soren.

Along with these, a total of 19 candidates are in the fray for Dumka Lok Sabha seat.

A total of 20,28,154 voters took part in the voting in Godda parliamentary constituency.

Of these, 10,50,328 are male, 9,77,809 are female and 17 are third gender voters.

There are a total of 2347 polling stations in this parliamentary constituency.

Of these, 257 booths are in urban areas and 2090 booths are in rural areas.

5 polling stations in the constituency are completely run by women.

Similarly, 3 booths were operated by the disabled and 2 booths were operated by the youth.

The 2 booths here are in a unique category.

Three-time BJP MP Nishikant Dubey faces Congress’s Pradeep Yadav from Godda parliamentary constituency.

Along with these, a total of 19 candidates are in the fray for Godda seat.
