Light to medium range rainfall reported across Jharkhand, more rains predicted on Jan 10

Ranchi: The Western Disturbance is making its impact felt in the state as on Friday several districts reported light to medium range of rainfall. At one or two places hailstorm was also reported. However on the other hand on February 10 once again the weather station has predicted more rainfall. Scientists at the local weather station Abhishek Anand said that due to a disturbance formed in north Pakistan and rainfall and snowfall taking place in hilly states of the country its impact is being seen in Jharkhand also.

The weather station has predicted that many places in the state on February 10 will receive light to medium range of rainfall however between February 5 to 9 the weather will remain clear. In the morning there will be fog and haze and as the day will progress the sky will clear and there will be bright sunshine.

For Friday the weather department had sounded a yellow alert in the state and going with the predictions apart from Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Latehar, Lohardaga, West Singhbhum, Bokaro, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Jamtara, Saraikela and Ramgarh light to medium range of rainfall took place which was also accompanied with thundering. For February 5 which coincides with Basant Panchami, the weather station has said that the weather will remain dry. In the morning there will be fog and in some places, there may be cloud cover throughout the day but rainfall will not take place, however cold winds will blow at an average speed of 10-15 kilometres per hour.
