Law makers from Jharkhand to vote for Presidential Elections on Monday

Ranchi: On Monday voting will be held for the highest constitutional post (President) of the country in which 81 MLAs of Jharkhand will also vote in it. The outcome will decide the victory of either Yashwant Sinha or Draupadi Murmu who are standing in the elections.

While the BJP is confident of Draupadi’s victory, the Congress is trying hard to put Yashwant Sinha on the post. But if one looks at the accounts of the members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Draupadi Murmu is sure to get two-thirds of the votes.

Apart from two MLAs of the AJSU party along with BJP, MLA Kamlesh Singh along with two independents have also decided to vote in his favor. MLA Saryu Rai has not opened the cards yet.

Apart from this, the NDA has also got the support of the ruling JMM. In such a situation, Yashwant Sinha is expected to get the votes of only Congress and RJD MLAs from his own state.

The total value of the vote of an MLA of Jharkhand is 176. On this basis, the NDA (AJSU Party and two independents) has a total of 16480 votes. Now after the announcement of the support of JMM, the value of the total votes has gone up to 23860.

The total vote value of all the MPs and MLAs in Jharkhand is 28256. In such a situation, a tremendous equation has been made in favor of Draupadi Murmu from here. Overall equations are being seen in favor of Draupadi Murmu across the country. Murmu is likely to get around two-thirds of the vote in the elections to be held on July 18.

According to the situation so far, out of 10,86,431 votes in the election, she is guaranteed to get more than 6.67 lakh votes. Of these, 3.08 lakh votes are from the ruling BJP and its allies. According to the vote value, the vote value of the MLAs of UP is the highest (208).

Under the leadership of party Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi, all the MLAs are informed all the technical aspects related to the voting to be held on July 18 and the methods of voting. Since July 16, all the MLAs of the party have gathered in Ranchi itself. On the other hand, Yashwant Sinha reached Ranchi on 16 July.

Apart from Congress’ Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pandey, he also sat with the party MLAs and asked them for support. Meanwhile, necessary arrangements for the Presidential elections have been completed in the Jharkhand Assembly Premises. The voting material had arrived here only three days ago. Here 81 MLAs of the state will cast their votes.

Voting will be held from 10 am to 5 pm only. MLAs have to bring their identity card (issued by the Legislative Assembly), photo identity card, and election certificate with them. Along with this, many important instructions have also been issued for them. Under no circumstances they will be allowed to carry cellular phones, cordless phones, wireless sets, etc.

Apart from the MLAs, if any MP wants to cast his vote in the Tribunal Room (Room No. GW042 of the West Wing) located in the Legislative Assembly, then they will also get an opportunity only on the basis of the permission received from the Election Commission.
