Last date of application for selection of senior advocate is 25th November, counting of applications received till now

Ranchi: The process of selection of senior advocates has started in Jharkhand High Court. But till now not many lawyers are showing interest in giving their names for selection as senior advocates. However, it is expected that when the High Court opens after the Puja holidays, the number of lawyers applying for selection as senior advocates will increase. Registrar General of Jharkhand High Court.

According to Shakir, applications will be taken till November 25 for the selection of senior advocates. After receiving the applications, the High Court committee will be engaged in the selection process and scrutiny of applications and other work. This time many advocates can stake claim for selection as senior advocate. The wait of the lawyers waiting for the selection of senior advocate in Jharkhand High Court is about to end. It is expected that from the year 2017 onwards, a full court meeting will be held and senior advocates will be selected.

According to the rules, it has been made mandatory for the advocates selected as Designated Senior to give information about their practice, information about their junior lawyers and the advocacy done by them in important cases, along with many other things.

The lawyers filling the form also have to provide information on whether there is any allegation of misconduct or professional conduct against the said advocate in the District Bar Association or State Bar Council. RS Majumdar, Rajiv Ranjan, AK Allam, Ajit Kumar, RN Sahay, BM Tripathi, AK Kashyap, Vijay Pratap Singh, Bhowmik, Jai Prakash Jha, Rajiv Sharma, Biren Poddar, Anil Kumar, PPN Rai, RSP Sinha, M K Laik and Mani Mala Paul.
