Last batch of migrant workers return from Mali

Ranchi: The last batch of 10 migrant labourers stranded in Mali of Africa returned to Ranchi on Saturday. On reaching Ranchi the labourers first applied the soil as tilak on their forehead. 33 labourers of Giridih, Hazaribagh and Bokaro districts were trapped in Mali of Africa.

For the first time on 16 January, the workers through social media had appealed for cooperation in returning home. After this, the central and state government took the matter seriously. Subsequently, the labourers were not only brought to the Indian Embassy but the outstanding wages were also paid.
