Ranchi: Nearly 150 workers trapped in different regions of Ladakh have requested Chief Minister Hemant Soren to provide them help.

The workers who mostly hail from Santhal and Pahadia tribe are trapped in Ladakh, Batalik, Piyo and Gargodoh areas due to lockdown.  The workers said that for some days they had managed to survive but now they are facing problems related to food and have also run out of money therefore they have urged the Chief Minister to help them.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren later tweeted to LG of Ladakh RK Mathur and urged him to provide foodgrains and other relief materials to these workers.

Hemant also urged the people not to panic and worry but maintain patience as the government was committed to provide all possible help to them. He said that slowly all of them would be brought back to the state. He urged the people to follow social distancing and remain wherever they are.
