Ranchi: Kindey of jailed RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav currently undergoing treatment at paying ward of RIMS is not functioning well.
Dr Umesh Prasad who is looking after him said on Saturday that no improvement has been noted in the functioning of his kidney and its condition is declining day by day.
He said that he has informed all the concerned departments and officials in this regard. Dr Umesh Prasad said that earlier his kidney functioning was 35 percent which has now reduced to 25 percent and has reached into Fourth Stage.
Dr Umesh said that Lalu Yadav can any moment need dialysis as the kidney was functioning only 25 percent. When the RJD supremo was admitted at RIMS the kidney functioning level was in the third stage and for two years under the care of the doctors of the rims, it functioned in a better manner.
On the other hand, two days earlier the CBI has filed an appeal in the High Court in which it has demanded that Lalu Yadav be sent back to Birsa Munda Central Jail as his condition was alright and his treatment can be done in the jail itself.
