Ranchi: A meeting of JMM MLAs was held under the chairmanship of CM Champai Soren at the Chief Minister’s residence in Kanke on Friday on the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections and Gandey by-elections in Jharkhand. In this meeting, first of all the party’s strategy in the coming days against the arrest of former CM Hemant Soren was discussed. It was also said that on the lines of Delhi and Mumbai, there is a need to organize a mega rally of Indi alliance in Ranchi also.
A plan was made to hold this rally on 21st April at Morhabadi ground or Prabhat Tara ground in Dhurwa. In the Maharally, it was said that invitations should be sent to the constituent parties of the India Alliance. Leaders of constituent parties from all over the country will participate in this rally. The Lok Sabha election campaign will be started from here.
Apart from this, Kalpana Soren has been made the candidate of Indi alliance for the by-election to be held in Gandey Assembly on 20th May. A strategy was made for the victory of the JMM candidate on this seat under any circumstances.
All ministers from JMM quota in Champai Soren government attended the meeting. Among the MLAs, Stephen Marandi, Mathura Mahato, Sudipta Kumar Sanu, Sukhram Oraon, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Vijay Hansda, Sarfaraz Ahmed, General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya arrived. JMM MLA from Latehar assembly constituency Baidyanath Ram was not seen in the meeting.
