Ranchi: A two-day program is being organized on the 37th anniversary of Durga Temple located on Ratu Road in the capital. On the first day, a grand Kalash Shobha Yatra was taken out from the temple premises with musical instruments. From the temple premises the yatra reached Rani Sati temple. From here holy water was filled in the urn.
After this, the devotees turned from Pahari Mandir Road, Gadikhana Chowk, JJ Road, Shaheed Chowk and returned to the temple via Gandhi Chowk, Mahavir Chowk, New Market Chowk, Ratu Road. After this, the Kalash brought filled with water was installed in the temple.
The first day’s program concluded with distribution of Prasad. Before the Shobha Yatra, the Mother was consecrated and worshiped at 8:30 in the morning and was decorated attractively with flowers. Santosh Pathak, the priest of the temple, solemnly performed the worship rituals of Ganpati deities amid the chanting of Vedic mantras. After this, Kalash Shobha Yatra was taken out from the temple premises at 10 am, in which a large number of women and devotees participated.
Along with the promotional vehicle and band players, the club members including Chief Patron of RR Sporting Club Vicky Yadav, President Rahul Yadav, Treasurer Rohit Yadav, former councilor Ashok Yadav, Ajay Kumar Sinha Tuntun were leading the way. There was a long queue of women and devotees carrying Kalash behind them. During the Shobha Yatra, the beautiful live tableau of Shri Ram Darbar and Maa Durga was spreading aura on the vehicle.
Along with the vehicle carrying Tasa Party and DJ, women carrying urns were also moving forward, cheering the Mother. On the second and last day of the annual festival, a continuous stream of devotion will flow from morning till late evening. Purification will be done with the holy water brought after the daily morning worship-aarti. After this the installation worship ritual will continue. After Havan, Bhandara will start at 12.30 noon. The program of devotional songs will run from 6:30 pm to late evening.
