Ranchi — The Jharkhand High Court has upheld the results of the JPSC Combined Civil Services Main Examination (11th to 13th editions), rejecting a petition that alleged flaws in the evaluation process.
Justice Deepak Roshan, delivering the judgment, dismissed the plea filed by Ayub Tirkey and Rajesh Kumar. The petitioners questioned the digital evaluation method, claiming it violated existing rules. They also alleged that a third-party agency evaluated the papers without transparency regarding its selection.
Concerns were also raised about regional language papers being assessed by underqualified examiners.
However, JPSC’s counsel, Sanjay Piperwal, argued that the petitioners only approached the court after failing the examination. He stressed that the process was fair and applied equally to all candidates.
The court noted the delay in filing objections and found no grounds to interfere with the declared results.
The recruitment drive, which began with a notification in January 2024, saw over 3.5 lakh candidates in the prelims, held in March. After filtering candidates through the main exam conducted in June 2024, final results were released on May 20, 2025, for 342 positions.
