Joint General Secretary of Hatia Union met Heavy Industries Minister, demanded to save HEC

Ranchi: Leela Dhar Singh, Joint General Secretary of Hatia Project Workers Union met Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey in Delhi. He requested Mahendra Nath Pandey to save the HEC. Leela Dhar Singh said that on the instructions of labour Union leader Rana Sangram Singh and seeing the pathetic condition of HEC workers, he met the Heavy Industries Minister. 

Leela Dhar Singh said that a heavy engineering industry like HEC could not become second in India in 75 years, so don’t let it go to waste. It has given steel industries like Bokaro, Bhilai, Bhizag, Kudremukh to the country. Coal mining, space, railways, supplied incomparable equipment for the defense sector. Launching pad of Chandrayaan 3 was made and such launching pads have been made and supplied for the last ten years.

The Joint General Secretary of Hatia Union said that despite not having a permanent president and board of directors, they worked on it by getting work orders worth crores. HEC affects Ranchi parliamentary elections, Hatia, Khizri, Ranchi, Kanke, Silli, Mandar assembly constituencies. The victory or defeat of the MP, MLA will depend on the functioning of the HEC. Responding to this, the minister said that we are working on an action plan to run the HEC.a
