Ranchi: JMM’s acting president Hemant Soren said the rights of the Adivasis and the moolvasis who live in the forest areas of the state at no cost will not be allowed to curtailed.
Addressing a dharna organised before the Raj Bhawan here against the amendments proposed in forest rights act 2006 he said that his party till the end will fight for the rights of the forest dwellers.
Other speakers who addressed the dharna also spoke against the amendments proposed in the act. Later a delegation of the party led by Mr Soren met Governor Draupadi Murmu and handed her a memorandum.
Those also present on the occasion included Stephen Marandi, Champai Soren, Nalin Soren, Ravindra Nath Mahto, Jaggarnath Mahto, Deepak Birua, Sashibhushan Samad, Jobha Manjhi, Dasrath Gagrai and others.
