JMM hails SC verdict over quashing the PIL against appointment of interim DGP

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has hailed the decision of the Supreme Court after it decided to quash the PIL filed in the apex court challenging the appointment of senior IPS officer MV Rao as Interim DGP of the state.

JMM General Secretary and Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya without naming the BJP said that a particular party does not want that the voices of ‘Adivasis and Moolvasis’ are heard out in the open and is not being able to tolerate the decisions which are being taken by the Hemant Soren government of the state in the interest of the people. He said that the party was not able to digest that the Adivasis and Moolvasis of the state are running the government as per their own will.

Bhattacharya said that it is always the decision of the state government to take a call on the responsibility which it wants to give to a particular officer and in which role the officer is suited to give the best results.

He said that the present Interim DGP is an able and honest officer who has on many occasions proved his capabilities whether it was in the state service or central deputation. Bhattacharya said that the decision of the SC also puts a stamp on the decision of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
