Ranchi: During the Monsoon Session of Jharkhand Assembly the MLAs of the ruling JMM and Congress MLAs protested outside the assembly against the agricultural bills passed in the Parliament.
Congress MLA from Mahgama Dipika Pandey Singh reached the Assembly on a tractor which was decked with posters and banners against the two Agriculture bills. After reaching the Vidhan Sabha she sat on a dharna carrying placards against the two bills.
The MLA said that from assembly to roads the party is opposing these anti farmers’ bill. She said that the manner in which the bills were passed in the Rajya Sabha will ensure that corporate houses further grow in the country while farmers come on the roads. She said that the party was standing with the farmers of the nation.
JMM MLA and cabinet minister described the two Agriculture laws passed by the parliament as a black law. He said that the central government is privatising everything and now agriculture is even being sold in the hands of the corporate houses. Thakur said that the bills are anti-national and anti farmers and at all level it would be opposed.
