Ranchi: JLKM has clarified on the death threat received by party supremo Jairam Mahato during last year’s assembly elections. Central spokesperson Sushil Mandal told Reporter Post that the threat came just two days before polling. The party’s central committee decided to keep the matter under wraps at that time, fearing public disclosure during elections could be misinterpreted.
Mandal said that the revelation nearly a year later was incidental to conversation and carried no political intent. Jairam Mahato will continue to rest for another 15 days as the recently fractured leg is still healing, and doctors have applied a fresh plaster as a precaution.
