Jharkhand unveils draft industrial and textile policies 2026, seeks stakeholder feedback

Ranchi: In a major push to accelerate industrial growth and attract fresh investment, the Jharkhand government has released the draft versions of the Jharkhand textile, apparel and footwear policy 2026 and the Jharkhand industrial investment promotion policy 2026. The state has invited suggestions and feedback from stakeholders, industry experts and the public before finalising the policies.

The detailed draft documents have been made available on the Jharkhand Single Window Portal to encourage wider consultation and discussion. The government aims to align the policies with modern industrial standards while creating a favourable environment for both domestic and global investors.

As part of the consultation process, a national-level stakeholder meeting will be held in New Delhi on July 8 and 9. A special feedback session on July 9 will be chaired by Hemant Soren. The two-day event is expected to bring together industrialists, manufacturing sector representatives, textile experts and economists from across the country.

Several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are also expected to be signed during the event, a move that could pave the way for new industrial investments and strategic collaborations in Jharkhand.

The government said making the draft policies public reflects its commitment to a transparent and participatory policy-making process. Feedback received from stakeholders will be considered before the policies are placed before the state cabinet for final approval.

According to the Directorate of Industries, the initiative marks an important step towards strengthening Jharkhand’s industrial ecosystem and advancing the state’s goal of becoming economically self-reliant through sustainable industrial development.
