Ranchi: In view of the global pandemic Covid-19, the government of Chief Minister Hemant Soren is moving forward with the mantra of “Jeevika Bhi, Jeevan Bhi”. Under this initiatives have been taken to strengthen the rural economy and provide employment to the villagers. Rurban scheme is playing an effective role in this work. The objective of Rurban Yojana is to focus on all round development of the region. The emphasis is on economic development and value creation, increasing ENT and basic services as well as the construction of wells for irrigation facilities.
Jharkhand has secured the first position in the Delta Ranking for the month of June released by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission. At the same time, while improving the overall ranking, it has succeeded in making its position at the eighth position. In June, there has been a positive change in the rank of Jharkhand due to the continuous improvement in each of the areas.
Dr Manish Ranjan, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of Jharkhand informed that continuous work is being done in Rurban Mission and regular review of the progress of work is being done at the state level. The Secretary has directed the officers of the concerned districts to focus on development-oriented works with greater urgency for the development of the state. The department has been successful in implementing the schemes under the Rurban Mission in the rural areas of Jharkhand.
The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India has released the Delta Ranking for the month of June. Jharkhand ranks first across the country in the Delta ranking. In overall performance too, Jharkhand has earned 8th place in the country while improving. “In future, it is our goal to benefit every village – every single family from Rurban Mission and I sincerely hope that we will definitely achieve this goal, “ said Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B.
