Jharkhand to get oxygen concentrators from PM Cares fund, to be installed in CHC & PHC

Ranchi: The central and the state governments have commenced their preparations to take on the third wave of Coronavirus.

To ensure that horrific scenes of the second wave is not repeated to address the issue of medical infrastructure in rural areas the state government will be provided oxygen concentrators from the PM Cares Fund.

As per the information provided by the centre from PM Cares fund for different states one lakh oxygen concentrators have been purchased which will be used in far-flung, hilly and tribal areas.

Meanwhile, the state is planning to put up these oxygen concentrators across 188 community health care centres while some primary healthcare centres have been also identified for the same. In places where these oxygen concentrators will be used at those spots 24 hours of power supply has to be ensured.

For better distribution of the oxygen concentrators and their use at five level different Nodal officers have been appointed and Dr Rakesh Dayal has been named as Nodal officer for the entire state. Going forward the officials from the centre will be providing to those belonging to the state who will be later training the health workers at the block level.
