Ranchi: The three-day Jharkhand State Level Chief Minister Football Cup competition was inaugurated on January 10 to 12 January 2024 under the auspices of the Department of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand.
Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp.
He informed that male and female winners and runner-up teams from four zones of Jharkhand state, Dhanbad, Dumka, Chaibasa and Ranchi zones are participating in this competition.

In the men’s category –
In the inaugural match i.e. in the first match, Ranchi winner defeated Seraikela-Kharsawan 3-2 in a hard-fought match and entered the next round.
In the second match, Pakur winner vs Dhanbad winner.
The match was a draw.
Both teams remained tied with one goal each.
In the third match, Ranchi winners defeated Dhanbad runners-up 2-0 to enter the next round.
In the fourth match, the match between Ranchi runner-up and Seraikela Kharsawan winner was a zero-zero draw.
In the first match in the women’s category, the Ranchi winning team defeated West Singhbhum 2-0 and entered the next round.
In the second match, Pakur defeated Bokaro 1-0 to enter the next round.
In the third match, Ranchi defeated Bokaro 1-0 to enter the next round.
In the fourth match, Dhanbad defeated Sahibganj 3-0 to enter the next round.
