Jharkhand playing important role in making Developed India: Chief Secretary

New Delhi/Ranchi: Chief  Secretary Sukhdev Singh said that Jharkhand is playing an important role by working in coordination with the Centre to make it a developed nation. 

Speaking at the annual conference of the Chief Secretaries at New Delhi he said that Jharkhand is playing an important role in making India developed. In the meeting which will continue for three days nearly 200 delegates are participating. 

In the annual conference, the Chief Secretary shared his views on six subjects including basic infrastructure women empowerment health skill development and local for vocal. Preparations were on for this conference for the last three months. However, due to Covid, the event could not be held in 2020-2021. 

The Chief Secretary said that basic infrastructure is rapidly growing in the state as work on many important projects was on. He said that Jharkhand has inked MoUs with the private sector and even an agro-business meet will be soon organized.

He said that the state government was executing the center-sponsored schemes in a better manner. On the issue of women empowerment, he said that the subject has a special focus for the Jharkhand government as many schemes have been started for the betterment of the women and girls of the state.

The Chief Secretary said that special focus has been accorded for women’s empowerment and even Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalay are being also run. Speaking over the issue of skill development he said that it is very important for Human Resource Development.

He said that the state government is running many schemes for it whose benefits are being seen on the ground level while as far as vocal locals are concerned that the central government has adopted this policy of the centre with both hands.

He said that after processing of local goods the state government is working to provide markets to them, further the government is encouraging production of coarse food grains in the state.
