Jharkhand is creating new-age educational infrastructure through model schools

Ranchi: The construction work of model schools across 24 districts of Jharkhand is scheduled to be completed by December 2022.

The government is planning to establish three model schools per district, throughout the state. These schools include a district school, a girl’s high school and a Kasturba Vidyalaya. Once the school building is ready, the government would start providing books and other resources in accordance with the patterns followed by private schools.

After this the state government will start the construction work of 325 model schools at the block level. These schools will be developed in the coming years with excellent standards of education and modern infrastructure, and the children coming from poor families will be able to access quality education.

Towards this cause the vision of Chief Minister Hemant Soren is that once the enrolment is done, the child should avail quality primary education and only then proceed to secondary education and higher education. The state government is working expeditiously to complete the construction of at least two model school buildings in 13 districts, including many aspirational districts.

By July 2022, the construction for Adarsh High School Khunti, KGVK Gumla, SS Girls School Simdega, State Kasturba Girls School Lohardaga, Girls High School Jamtara, Model School Dumka, KGVK Dumka, Plus Two Girls High School Dumka, Model School Latehar, Zilla School Chaibasa, Model School Tatanagar, Scott High School Chaibasa, KGVK Girls School Seraikela will be completed.

Other than this, 22 schools in different districts by August 2022, 26 schools in September 2022, 14 schools in October and three school buildings by the month of November will be completed.
