Ranchi: The High Court has lifted the stay on the ongoing CBI investigation into the case of illegal mining in Lemon Pahad in Sahibganj district. The CBI was investigating the illegal mining case in Lemon Pahad. In this regard, CBI has registered case number 06/23.
The state government had approached the High Court against the CBI investigation. Hearing this, the High Court had stayed the order for CBI investigation on January 19. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan and Piyush Chitresh argued on behalf of the state government.
ASGI (Additional Solicitor General) Anil Kumar argued on behalf of CBI. The hearing of this case took place in the bench of High Court judge Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad.
