Jharkhand High Court directs MGNREGA commissioner to pay outstanding honorarium to workers

Ranchi:  Jharkhand High Court, while hearing the petition filed by Vijayeta Tiwari and others, has directed the MGNREGA Commissioner to pay the outstanding honorarium of all the 11 applicants and file a counter affidavit. The hearing of this case was held in the bench of High Court judge Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary. During the hearing, the court orally said that when all the applicants are working.

If the department is taking work from him, then why has his honorarium not been paid after June 2022? Actually, the computer operator posted in the Rural Development Department in Chatra district was appointed in 2007. Since then all the computer operators were providing their services to the department. But after June 2022, payment of honorarium to him was stopped.

After which 11 candidates had approached the High Court to get their services regularized along with payment of honorarium. Advocate Avinish Ranjan Mishra presented the case on behalf of the applicants.
