Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor and Chancellor, CP Radhakrishnan held a meeting with Vice Chancellors of all universities of Jharkhand at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi on Monday. Governor Said not to distribute degrees but also to inculcate character and values among students. Today, there is a need of Vocational Courses and job-oriented courses. The Governor reviewed the Development work of universities with VC’s and Registrars.
Educational Advisor to Jharkhand Governor Balaguruswami and Principal Secretary to Jharkhand Governor Nitin Madan Kulkarni were present in the meeting.
“ All round development and a better curriculum is our agenda. Zero Corruption, Zero Drugs and Zero recommendations should be there in Universities. The best performer should be rewarded in universities” said Governor.
He said “ Education is a strong phenomenon to change and develop the society. All universities should adopt the standard parameter. During the Annual Sports meet Universities should invite Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.
Similarly, Universities should also invite renowned Industrialists“. Governor expressed his intentions over the low rate of placements in the Information Technology Institution. He stressed on infrastructure development and increased the number of seats in Universities. In the meeting, it was also decided to develop a Counselling Center.
Educational Advisor to Jharkhand Governor Balaguruswami also stressed on Research and Development work in universities. Universities have to work on the right proportion of admission of students.
We should try to get an A grade certificate from the evaluation of NAAC.
