Godhan Yojana launched by Agriculture Minister

Ranchi: Jharkhand Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh launched Godhan Yojna in Ranchi on Monday. Minister Badal Patralekh said by using cow dung we can prepare organic fertilizer that can be applied to the field and farm. He said we are dependent on Chemical Fertilizers which are harmful for health.

He added more and more organic fertilisers are to be made and it should make sustainable development. We have made a Rs 10 Crore proposal in the budget for Vermicompost. We have just started to Go Mukti Dham (Cremation Center for cows). 

In the statewide Rs 3500 was distributed to each 12 Lakh Farmers in the last one year. In addition to that 9.38 Lakh Farmers who are affected by Drought are benefited with Rs 810 Crore as Crop Insurance Scheme. We have demanded Rs 9682 Crore from the Central Government for drought relief for the farmers. 

The Agricultural Department started a flagship programme under the guidance of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Under the Godhan Yojna 10,000 Farmers will be benefitted.
